• A complete URL (starting with http:)
• A partial URL (relative to the current directory)
• An email address (preceded by mailto:)
• A graphic (GIF or JPG in the extras directory)

Each link will be listed once in the specified index. For example, the following lines will create an index called "Other Links" with a link to the Medical Informatics Home Page:

The phrase "Medical Informatics Home Page" will be linked to http://medinfo.ufl.edu/ where ever it appears in the notebook. Here is a more complex example using a "canned" PubMed query on hypertension.

It is also useful to create synonym links within the notebook. For example, the phrase "cross-references" becomes a synonym for "hypertext links." The current version of Jrju does not recognize inverse references for these synonyms however. This limitation will be addressed in a future version.
